Welcome to my blog. My name is Soumik Das and I am a 35 year old digital marketer living in Kolkata. I am running a digital marketing agency with more than 800 clients and 40 employees and a turnover of more than 50 crores within five years. In the year 2021, I started my digital marketing journey and I was also a layman before that, but my passion, determination, and self-confidence have made me successful.
However, you are all wondering why I named this article as mistake. Well to understand that, you need to know my part of story.
I am a B-Tech graduate with a PGDBM and have worked in the banking industry for a decade
Now lets we talk about some mistakes
One of the first mistakes I made in my life was to choose electronincs communication engineering instead of IT, during the Great Recession (recession) that occurred between 2007 and 2009.
At the time when I graduated in 2013 many telecom companies were in difficulties and they stopped recruiting fresh graduates.
In 2014, I thought that I must do something for which I could get a job, so I enrolled in a banking program as the banking sector at that time was booming, and began studying banking and then got a job in a private bank in 2015.
I often feel like I am doing the same job every day without any chance to enhance my skills and work for 10 hours a day, I do not have time for my friends or family due to the huge amount of work I have to do every day.
I had certain dreams before joining the job that I was supposed to fulfill within 5 years, but I could not accomplish them.
When the pandemic started in 2020, I was depressed and lost confidence in myself.
Before I go to sleep every night, I think about how I can change my profession and how I can contribute to society.
It’s taken me long 1 year to realize that Digital Marketing is the most valuable niche in today’s world, and that it will stay and that it will increase gradually, and that by writing blogs about various finance-related topics, I could help others.
But inspite of all mistakes I take good chance to grow in life
This was all made possible for me by DDIP batch 13 program and Team digital deepak , who helped me build my 2.0 version and made me feel more confident.
